Forty-five students from 18 Fairfax County public high schools and three elementary schools have earned places in three prestigious statewide music groups for 2025.
Selected through a rigorous audition process, the students will join other leading young musicians from across Virginia in Norfolk from Tuesday, November 18, through Saturday, November 22. They will rehearse with nationally recognized conductors and perform in concerts that are free and open to the public.
The All-Virginia Orff Ensemble, Jazz Band and Jazz Ensemble will perform Thursday, November 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The Virginia Music Education Association Senior Honors Choir will perform Saturday, November 22, from 1 to 2 p.m.
