Tysons will transform into a creative hub this fall when the Celebration of the Arts returns to Capital One Center for its second year.

The outdoor, multi-block festival is scheduled for Sept. 19-20, bringing back the event that debuted last year at the mixed-use development in the heart of Tysons. Hours are noon to 6 p.m. at 1820 Capital One Drive South.

Presented with the Tephra Institute of Contemporary Art and Capital One Arts, the event will combine visual art, live music, food and community programming. Plans include hands-on workshops, immersive art installations, live performances, a local artisan market and regional food offerings.

Organizers also advertise a live “Battle of the Artists,” a pop-up called “Art Bark” for dogs and their people, and activities designed for children. The festival is free and open to the public, though guests are encouraged to register in advance.
