Northern Virginia is filling its spring calendar with Easter Bunny visits, egg hunts, pool adventures and family festivals from March 6 through April 5. Events range from free neighborhood gatherings to ticketed hunts, with several requiring advance registration.

Easter Bunny photos

Tysons Corner Center

The Easter Bunny will welcome visitors in Fashion Court at Tysons Corner Center, 1961 Chain Bridge Road in Tysons, from March 6 through April 4. Reservations are recommended for photo sessions.

Bunny Cares is scheduled for March 22, while Pet Nights will take place March 9 and 16.

Dulles Town Center

Bunny photos will be available March 13 through April 4 at Dulles Town Center, 21100 Dulles Town Circle in Dulles.

Pet photo sessions are planned on Mondays from 4 to 7 p.m. A sensory-friendly Bunny experience will run from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on March 22.

Leesburg pancake breakfast

The Leesburg Volunteer Fire Company will pair Easter Bunny and firetruck photos with its March pancake breakfast from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 28. The event will be held at 215 Loudoun St. SW in Leesburg.

Egg hunts and spring festivals

Mini-Golf Egg-plorations

Children can search for eggs across the mini-golf course at Oakmont Rec Center, 3200 Jermantown Road in Oakton, on Saturday, March 28. Seven sessions are available, beginning at 11 a.m.

The $16 event also includes face painting, popcorn, games and an egg-decorating activity.

Aqua Egg Hunt

Young swimmers will collect floating and sinking eggs at the Herndon Community Center, 814 Ferndale Ave., on Saturday, March 28. Three sessions are planned, with the first beginning at 1 p.m., and each participant will leave with a prize.

Advance registration costs $10 per child through noon March 27. Onsite registration will cost $15 if space remains.

Ida Lee Park Easter Egg Hunt

Ida Lee Park, 60 Ida Lee Drive NW in Leesburg, will host an egg hunt Saturday, March 28. Children will search a designated area for colored, empty eggs before receiving a treat. The Easter Bunny will also be available for photos.

Advance registration is mandatory and closes Friday, March 27. No registration will be offered on the day of the event.

Shipgarten family festival

Shipgarten, 7581 Colshire Drive in McLean, will host an Easter Bunny Kids and Family Festival from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 29.

Activities include free face painting, arts and crafts, live music, moon bounces and access to the outdoor playground.

Eggcellent Adventures

Claude Moore Park, 21544 Old Vestals Gap Road in Sterling, will spotlight animals that lay eggs during a series of activity sessions beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 1.

Visitors can see live egg-laying animals and participate in nature-focused activities. Admission costs $5.

Temple Hall Farm egg hunt

Children ages 2 through 11 can hunt for eggs, make crafts and pose for photos with the Easter Bunny at Temple Hall Farm Regional Park, 15855 Limestone School Road in Leesburg.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 1. Online tickets cost $15 per child, while walk-up admission will be $20 if tickets remain.

Egg-stravaganza

Families can follow a woodland trail to collect colorful eggs during sessions beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 2. Along the way, participants can learn about hatching animals, look for frogs at the pond and examine real bird nests and life-size eggs.

The event also features a storybook trail and photo opportunities with a giant bunny or Walker the Woodpecker. Admission is $8 for RA members and $10 for nonmembers. Registration is required by March 30.

Teen night egg hunt. Children ages 10 through 14 can search for brightly colored eggs after dark at Historic Blenheim, 3610 Blenheim Blvd. in Fairfax.

The Egg-Streme Teen Night Egg Hunt runs from 7:30 to 8:15 p.m. Thursday, April 2. Games, activities and Easter Bunny selfies are planned before the hunt begins. Admission is $7.

Easter at Capital One Center. Capital One Center will hold its Easter celebration from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 4, at 1803 Capital One Drive in Tysons.

Festivities will include the return of the all-ages Color Fun Run and an egg hunt featuring 3,000 eggs on the Great Lawn at The Perch.

Cherry Hill Park egg hunt. Activities begin at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, April 4, at Cherry Hill Park, 312 Park Ave. in Falls Church. Organizers advise families to arrive early and bring a bag or basket.

Egg hunters will be divided into groups for ages newborn to 3, 4 to 6 and 7 to 11. Free crafts, games, face painting and live music are planned before and after the hunts. Mr. and Mrs. Bunny will pose for pictures, and a free magic show begins at the barn at 10:30 a.m.

Hoppy Egg Hunting. Herndon’s spring celebration begins at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 4, at Bready Park, 814 Ferndale Ave.

The morning starts with games, crafts, music and Bunny photos, followed by egg hunts organized by age group. The rain-or-shine event costs $10 with advance registration or $15 onsite, payable by cash or check.

Bubbles & Bunnies. Children ages 2 through 12 can search for thousands of toy ducks in the leisure pool at Cub Run Rec Center, 4630 Stonecroft Blvd. in Chantilly. Sessions begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 4.

After the hunt, families can use the slides, lazy river and other play features. Each child receives a collection basket. Admission is $21.

Sensory-Friendly Bubbles & Bunnies. Cub Run Rec Center will offer a quieter version of its pool-based duck hunt from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. Saturday, April 4.

Designed for children ages 2 through 18 of all abilities, the $21 session will have limited attendance, reduced background noise and quiet break areas. Participants can collect ducks before exploring the pool’s slides, lazy river and play features at their own pace. Each child receives a basket.

McLean Spring Fest. Spring Fest will bring crafts, entertainment and Bunny photos to the McLean Community Center, 1234 Ingleside Ave., from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 4.

Families should bring their own cameras. A staff member will be available to take group photos.

Colvin Run Mill egg hunt. Children ages 2 through 9 can hunt for treat- and treasure-filled eggs at Colvin Run Mill Historic Site, 10017 Colvin Run Road in Great Falls.

Sessions begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, with separate hunts for different age groups and a craft activity before each hunt. Admission costs $12. Families should bring baskets, and the program will proceed rain or shine.

NOVA Wild Easter Egg Hunt. NOVA Wild, 1228 Hunter Mill Road in Vienna, will hold egg hunts Saturday, April 4, and Sunday, April 5. Children can search designated hunt zones for eggs and compete for prizes worth as much as $300.

Participation costs $12 and requires a limited-quantity Egg Hunt Bag. Zoo admission is separate and costs $40 for adults and $15 for children, with free admission for children younger than 2.

Holy Trinity egg hunt. Holy Trinity Lutheran Church will host a free Easter egg hunt at 9 a.m. Sunday, April 5, at 3022 Woodlawn Ave. in Falls Church.

The annual gathering includes coffee, doughnuts and activities for children through sixth grade.

Shipgarten Easter festival. Shipgarten will hold another Easter Bunny Kids and Family Festival from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 5, at 7581 Colshire Drive in McLean.

The program includes free face painting and crafts, along with live music, moon bounces and an outdoor playground.

Easter movie at Mosaic. Families can close out Easter afternoon with an outdoor screening of “HOP” from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 5, at Strawberry Park in Mosaic on District Avenue in Fairfax. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets.
