A State Department employee from Alexandria faces federal charges for allegedly joining a conspiracy to gather, transmit or lose national defense information. The 42-year-old man is accused of sharing classified material with people he met online in exchange for payments.
Metro is eliminating its Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion while seeking federal funding from the Trump administration. The transit agency will also dissolve its Office of Sustainability, with department head Rachel Healy moving into a new role as director of Energy and Environment.
