A 32-year-old Fairfax man faces a charge of burning a dwelling after investigators determined that a house fire was intentionally set.

City of Fairfax police responded to the 3900 block of Fairview Drive at about 9:46 p.m. on March 11 to assist the city’s fire department.

Dozens of first responders from Washington, D.C., Maryland and Northern Virginia were recognized Wednesday by the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments for their work following the crash near Reagan National Airport. Regional leaders said cooperation across jurisdictions made a major difference in the response.

Falls Church plans to prohibit right turns on red at more locations along Broad Street. Police Chief Shahram Fard told the City Council that the Department of Public Works had approved several of his requests for additional restrictions.

Annandale Youth Lacrosse is contesting the cancellation of three previously approved spring game dates. The Annandale Boys & Girls Club program says Fairfax County canceled the dates without warning to accommodate the DC Divas women’s football program.

Havabite Eatery will close its Main Street location March 31 but remain in the Fairfax area while searching for a permanent home. The family restaurant’s owners announced Monday that it will operate temporarily from Mazadar Restaurant.

“Jeopardy!” will hold several events in Washington from April 10 through April 12. Plans for the three-day showcase include visits to area universities and a live taping of the “Inside Jeopardy!” podcast at the Lincoln Theatre, though additional details are still being developed.

Local businesses are also preparing activities for Pi Day on Friday, March 14. The annual celebration falls on 3/14, matching the first three digits of pi.

Patchy fog Thursday morning is expected to clear by 10 a.m. Skies will remain mostly cloudy, with a daytime high near 59 and a northeast wind around 6 mph. The overnight low will fall to about 43 under mostly cloudy skies, with an east wind near 6 mph.
