Fairfax Seeks Public Vote on Artwork for Nine BRT Stations

Fairfax County residents can help choose artwork for nine planned Richmond Highway Bus Rapid Transit stations through an online survey open from April 6 to May 8, 2026.

Fairfax County residents can help choose artwork for nine planned Richmond Highway Bus Rapid Transit stations through an online survey open from April 6 to May 8, 2026.

The county worked with local students and professional artists to create three windscreen designs for each station. Known as “Community Charm,” the project aims to reflect the history, identity and character of neighborhoods along the BRT corridor.

Residents can review and rank the options through separate English- and Spanish-language surveys on SurveyMonkey.

The Fairfax County Department of Transportation will also present the proposed artwork during an open house from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, at Bryant High School, 2709 Popkins Lane in Alexandria. Staff will answer questions and collect feedback.

Meeting materials will be provided in English and Spanish, and bilingual staff will attend. Free on-site child care and shuttle service from the Gum Springs and Hybla Valley community centers may be requested by emailing ncscrccregion1@fairfaxcounty.gov by April 22.
