Fairfax County transportation officials will unveil their long-term vision for Gallows Road during two public meetings in July 2025, giving residents a chance to question the proposals and offer feedback.

The first meeting will cover the northern and middle sections between Route 7 and Interstate 495. It is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, in the Kilmer Middle School cafeteria at 8100 Wolftrap Road in Vienna.

A second meeting focused on the southern section between I-495 and Columbia Pike will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 17, in the Woodburn Elementary School cafeteria at 3401 Hemlock Drive in Falls Church.

Since the previous public meetings in November 2024, the Fairfax County Department of Transportation has developed preferred recommendations using technical analysis and input from stakeholders and the public.

The proposals are intended to improve travel along the corridor for all users, including upgrades involving pedestrian, bicycle and transit facilities. Attendees at both meetings will be able to ask questions and comment on the recommendations.
