A military helicopter and a regional passenger jet carrying about 60 people collided in midair near Reagan National Airport, prompting a massive emergency response in the surrounding waters. The helicopter was on a training flight from Fort Belvoir’s 12th Aviation Battalion, a military spokesperson said.
In Arlington, police identified Xuewei He, 32, of McLean as the woman killed in a four-vehicle crash Monday, Jan. 27, at Wilson Boulevard and North Glebe Road. Charges are pending against a pickup truck driver who was hospitalized with serious injuries.
