Mini-Golf Gets an Artistic Makeover at the Workhouse

The Workhouse Arts Center has transformed mini-golf into an art history experience with an 18-hole course featuring handcrafted designs inspired by major artistic movements.

The Workhouse Arts Center has transformed mini-golf into an art history experience with an 18-hole course featuring handcrafted designs inspired by major artistic movements.

Masterpiece Mini-Golf opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony June 13. Artists and builders from the Workhouse community created each of the course’s 18 distinct holes.

The course draws inspiration from French Impressionism, the Italian Renaissance, guerrilla art and Pop Art. It will remain open through the summer and fall for visitors interested in either the artwork, the game or both.

Masterpiece Mini-Golf is located at the Workhouse Arts Center, 9518 Workhouse Way in Lorton. Admission is $15 per person, and advance tee times are not available. Bunnyman Brewery is nearby for refreshments after a round.

Braddock District Supervisor James Walkinshaw joined Workhouse Arts Center board member Sharon Bulova for a game. Bulova said she had never played mini-golf before.
