Fairfax County transportation officials will present plans May 29, 2025, for two bicycle and pedestrian projects designed to improve connections near Route 7 in Falls Church.
One project would create a shared-use path along Shreve Road, linking the W&OD Trail with Route 7. The other would improve the Haycock Road and Route 7 intersection and extend a shared-use path from Route 7 to Mustang Alley, providing direct access to Meridian High School and Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School.
The public information meeting will take place in the cafeteria at Shrevewood Elementary School, 7525 Shreve Road. An open house featuring project displays will begin at 6 p.m.
The Fairfax County Department of Transportation will present conceptual designs for both projects at 7 p.m. The schedule also includes time for questions and public feedback.
Providence District Supervisor Dalia Palchik and Dranesville District Supervisor Jimmy Bierman will join transportation officials for the meeting.
