Cybersecurity company and federal contractor BigBear.ai may have quietly moved its headquarters from Columbia, Maryland, to Tysons. A regulatory filing submitted Monday listed 7950 Jones Branch Road as the address of the company’s executive offices.

The apparent relocation coincides with a leadership change. BigBear.ai named former acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan as CEO in late January.

Northern Virginia businesses are also preparing for the effects of thousands of federal worker dismissals under the Trump administration’s effort to reduce government spending. Julie Coons, president of the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce, warned that the next 18 to 24 months could be particularly challenging for the region.

In Annandale, longtime St. Michael’s Catholic School substitute teacher Eric Sean Williams was arrested Feb. 27 on multiple sexual assault counts involving a minor. The Catholic Diocese of Arlington said there are no known criminal incidents involving Williams on parish or school property.

Officials are warning residents about fraudulent text messages claiming they owe unpaid toll bills. Toll bills are not sent by text, and the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles does not use such messages to collect payments. Recipients should avoid opening links or providing financial information.
