Fairfax-area residents gathered with homemade signs at shopping centers and along Blenheim Boulevard on Saturday, June 14, 2024, as part of No Kings demonstrations.
At Fair Lakes Shopping Center, 80-year-old Fairfax Station resident Sherman Greenstein said he had participated in protests since the 1961 House Un-American Activities Committee. He brought decades of activism experience to the rally.
Several women demonstrated at the Kamp Washington shopping center near the intersection of Routes 29 and 50. Two local women, ages 76 and 82, carried a large sign reading “No Kings, Blessed Be,” while another group of five women arrived with handmade signs.
On the 3900 block of Blenheim Boulevard, Richard, a 74-year-old retired teacher from Fairfax, displayed a sign drawing parallels between President Donald Trump and Adolf Hitler.
