A restored waterfront estate in Cape Charles is on the market for $3.295 million, offering three residential buildings, more than 1,500 feet of natural shoreline and a private 125-foot dock with a boat lift.
Known as Mimosa Farm, the 17.16-acre property at 20031 Oakland Farm Road centers on a farmhouse built in 1850 and renovated in 2019. The estate encompasses 5,612 square feet, with five bedrooms, five full bathrooms and three half-bathrooms spread across the main house, carriage house and barn.
The main residence contains three bedrooms, three full bathrooms and one half-bathroom. A newer three-bay carriage house includes a second-floor apartment with one bedroom, one full bathroom and one half-bathroom.
A restored barn dating to about 1863 provides another 2,808 square feet. Currently operated as the Mimosa Barn event venue, it can accommodate more than 300 guests. The building also includes a water-view bedroom, one full bathroom, one half-bathroom, a kitchenette, a sitting area and flexible-use space.
Landscaped and partly wooded grounds surround the buildings, while Eyre Hall Creek runs along the property’s edge. The secluded estate is also within reach of local amenities on Virginia’s Eastern Shore.
