Living Legends of Alexandria has announced its 2025 honorees, recognizing 12 people whose work has influenced the city’s culture, public service, leadership and legacy.
The class includes Mary Lee Anderson, Ana Bonia-Galdamez, Gerald File, Charlotte Hall, Iburia Hall-Haynes, Noah Lyles, David Mercer, Robyn Nichols, Patrick O’Brien, Kitty Porterfield, Adrienne Terrell Washington and Gerald Wanzer.
Board President Mary Wadland described the honorees as civic champions spanning nonprofit leadership, equity and education advocacy, the arts and sports. She also highlighted those whose persistent work has improved lives outside the spotlight.
Established in 2007, the 502©(3) nonprofit’s annual program celebrates Alexandrians from varied backgrounds who have made extraordinary community contributions and helped improve quality of life in the city.
The organization plans to honor the new class at a Meet the Legends gala reception in November.
