Alexandria’s annual community giving day will return Wednesday, April 22, seeking to build on the more than $3.1 million raised for nearly 200 city-based nonprofits in 2025.
Spring2ACTion is a 24-hour online fundraising event that brings together residents, businesses and other supporters to donate to local organizations. ACT for Alexandria leads the initiative, which connects donors with causes serving people and communities across the city.
Since Spring2ACTion began in 2011, tens of thousands of donors have contributed tens of millions of dollars to hundreds of Alexandria nonprofits. Participating groups work in fields including education, health, housing, arts and culture, animal welfare and environmental sustainability.
Early giving for the 2026 campaign is already underway. Many participating organizations are also holding special events before the main online giving day.
The April 22 event will include prize incentives for nonprofits as well as community events around Alexandria. A complete list of participating organizations and an online donation option are available at Spring2Action.org.
