The club’s next events include its annual Take Me Out to the Ballgame outing at 1:35 p.m. April 27, when the Washington Nationals play the New York Mets at Nationals Park.

The organization will then hold its 68th annual awards banquet May 28 at the Westin Alexandria Old Town. This year’s banquet will mark the debut of a scholarship supporting students pursuing vocational or technical education after high school.

Inspired by the late Alexandria philanthropist Marion Moon, the $2,500 scholarship will go to a high school senior in the City of Alexandria seeking trade-related skills or technical certifications.
