After four-year breaks, Arctic Monkeys and Harry Styles returned Thursday, Jan. 22, with new singles that quickly climbed the charts and energized indie and pop-rock fans.

Arctic Monkeys Support War Child With “Opening Night”

Arctic Monkeys partnered with War Child for “Opening Night,” a track featured on the organization’s newly announced charity album, HELP(2).

The collaborative record brings together prominent artists to spotlight the experiences of children in war-affected regions. Proceeds from the album, scheduled for release March 6, will support War Child’s work protecting children living through conflict.

“Opening Night” builds on Arctic Monkeys’ established alternative sound. A steady rhythm anchors the track as layers of instrumentation gradually gather around the lead vocals.
