A bomb threat involving a Dulles-bound flight, lawsuits over a major Potomac River sewage spill and a steakhouse company’s bankruptcy filing lead the local news for Tuesday, April 21.
A United Airlines flight from Denver landed safely at Dulles International Airport on Monday morning following a reported bomb threat. United Flight 2408 had been evacuated by airstairs before leaving Denver International Airport because of a security concern.
The U.S. Justice Department and the Maryland Department of the Environment have filed separate lawsuits against D.C. Water. The legal actions concern pollution from a ruptured pipe that released a massive amount of sewage into the Potomac River in January.

801 Restaurant Group, the parent company of 801 Chophouse, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on April 10. The company said it intends to restructure its debt and keep its restaurants open. The chain opened its first East Coast location in Tysons in 2024.
