The Class of 2026 gathered in the school’s lower gym for Convocation, marking one of the seniors’ final ceremonies before graduation and the close of their high school years.
Students arrived wearing caps and gowns for a program that looked back on the class’s experiences and accomplishments. Students and staff delivered speeches, while awards were presented during the ceremony so recipients could wear them at graduation.
Senior Jane Hirschberg said hearing remarks from the principal and other teachers left her feeling sentimental. Coming to school in her graduation attire also brought home the reality that her time in high school was nearly over.
For senior Katelyn Gray, Convocation offered the class an opportunity to come together and celebrate the conclusion of four years. She said the event showed how far the seniors had come while building excitement for graduation.
The reflections, awards and shared ceremony gave the graduating class a chance to recognize its journey before taking the final step toward commencement.
