Lilian Jorgenson traces her approach to real estate back to her childhood in Kolding, Denmark, where she worked in her family’s grocery store. Watching her father carefully maintain product quality and nurture lasting customer relationships shaped her own emphasis on service and attention to detail.

Jorgenson has lived in the United States for more than 40 years and in the McLean area with her husband, Allan, since 1969. Her daughter, Janet, and son, John, who also works in real estate, live in Northern Virginia. She also maintains family ties in Copenhagen.

During a 41-year real estate career, Jorgenson has sold more than 2,500 homes and recorded over $1.9 billion in sales. Her record averages approximately one home sale per week over that period.

She also has more than 20 years of new-construction experience, including involvement in the planning and completion of over 300 homes.

In 2013, Jorgenson sold more than $80 million in real estate and ranked 135th among 250 agents nationwide in a REAL Trends list. She has also received repeated recognition from the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors and Long & Foster.

Her more recent honors include a No. 78 ranking among 22,000 Realtors in the Northern Virginia metro market in 2025 and the No. 21 position in Virginia on the 2024 Real Trends America’s Best Real Estate Professionals list. She was named among Long & Foster’s top 100 companywide in 2025 and received Platinum Elite Producer recognition from Washingtonian each year from 2015 through 2025.

Jorgenson is also a life member of NVAR’s Top Producer program and has appeared among the top 200 agents in a Wall Street Journal ranking.

Her work focuses on McLean, Vienna, Great Falls, Oakton and Arlington. She handles transactions ranging from first-home purchases and investment properties to downsizing and luxury-estate sales.

A network of specialists supports clients with mortgages, inspections, title work, insurance, moving and property management. Her property marketing also uses Long & Foster’s international network in addition to local listing channels and professional relationships.

Client accounts emphasize repeat business, market knowledge and personal service. John Nicolais said Jorgenson assisted with three transactions over 15 years. Robert Mariani reported that she recommended a higher asking price than he expected and sold his home at full price in just over a week.

Another longtime client recalled that Jorgenson brought homemade Danish pastry to bake during an Oakton open house, filling the property with its aroma as prospective buyers arrived. Jorgenson has accumulated more than 70 five-star reviews across major real estate platforms.

After more than five decades in the McLean area, Jorgenson says her familiarity with Northern Virginia’s neighborhoods, schools and real estate community remains central to her work.
