Fairfax City Restaurant Week returns Feb. 24 through March 2, bringing global cuisine, local favorites and fixed-price meals to more than 30 participating establishments.

The eighth winter edition will feature food inspired by Asia, Peru, Italy, Ireland, Azerbaijan and the Caribbean, alongside American steaks and seafood. Restaurants will offer $25 brunch or lunch menus and $40 three-course dinners. Some specialty restaurants and food vendors will also feature two-for-$10 deals or a “Let’s Work Together” offering designed for groups.

Mayor Catherine Read said the event continues to expand, giving diners opportunities to try everything from pizza and handmade pasta to Asian bowls, steak and lobster at a range of prices.

Participating businesses include 54 Restaurant Bar & Lounge, Audacious Aleworks, Baku Delicious, Bellissimo Restaurant, Big Buns, Commonwealth Brewing Co., Curry Mantra, Dolce Vita Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar, Draper’s Steak & Seafood, Earp’s Ordinary, El Pollo Rico, Fauna Latin Flavor, Hamrock’s Restaurant, Jas & Fam Caribbean Flavor, Kelly’s Oyster House & Bar, Mackenzie’s Tunes & Tonics and Meokja Meokja.

The lineup also includes Milk & Honey, Mr Pepperoni Fairfax, My Empanadas, Ned’s New England Deck, Okonomi Asian Grill, Old Dominion Pizza, ONE Bar & Grill, Ornery Beer Co., Patriots Pub & Grill, P.J. Skidoos, TeaDM Fairfax, The Auld Shebeen, The Wine House, Two Burritos, ViVi Bubble Tea and Z! Eats.

Economic Development Director Chris Bruno said the event’s growth has helped establish Fairfax City as a dining destination while highlighting its community and restaurateurs.

A committee of Fairfax City restaurant owners and consultants oversees the week. Organizers aim to create a distinctive local experience, strengthen connections between residents and dining establishments, and increase recognition for participating businesses.

Among the featured dishes, Baku Delicious plans to serve Azerbaijani plov made with beef, lamb, rice, onion, chestnut and dried yellow plum, along with grape leaves stuffed with ground meat, rice and herbs.

Draper’s Steak & Seafood will offer choices such as a 10-ounce New York strip steak with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus, grilled mahi mahi with coconut rice and grilled pineapple salsa, and roasted herb chicken with fingerling potatoes and fried Brussels sprouts.

Two Burritos will feature chicken and birria bowls, chicken fajitas and green vegetable fajitas. ONE Bar & Grill’s options include hanger steak, chicken pot au feu, hanger steak with chimichurri, stuffed eggplant with mozzarella gratin, and spicy Diablo shrimp with chorizo and linguine.

Fairfax City Economic Development and the Central Fairfax Chamber of Commerce sponsor Restaurant Week in partnership with the Old Town Fairfax Business Association. Current restaurant menus and participation details are available through the event’s website and its Instagram and Facebook accounts.
