Fairfax City Restaurant Week will bring 10 days of globally inspired dining deals to more than two dozen local restaurants from Feb. 27 through March 8.
Most participating businesses will serve fixed-price menus, including $25 brunches and lunches and three-course dinners for $40. Some locations will instead feature Two-for-$10 specials or flexible “Let’s Work Together” offers.
The event gives diners an opportunity to try new establishments while supporting longtime neighborhood favorites. Participating restaurants represent cuisines from Azerbaijan, Ireland, Latin America, India, Japan, Thailand, Italy, Mexico, Korea and China.
“Restaurant Week is a time to shake off the stress of freezing temperatures, ‘snowcrete’ and school closures,” Mayor Catherine Read said. She encouraged families, neighbors and colleagues to gather over breakfast, lunch or dinner at the city’s restaurants.
The participating businesses are Baku Delicious, Bellissimo Restaurant, Big Buns, Boba TomTom, Commonwealth Brewing Co., Curry Mantra, Dolce Vita Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar, Draper’s, El Pollo Rico, Hamrock’s Restaurant, Kelly’s Oyster House and Bar, Meokja Meokja, Milk and Honey, Ned’s New England Deck, Okonomi Asian Grill, Old Dominion Pizza, Ornery Beer Co., P.J. Skidoos, Patriots Pub & Grill, Sushi Friends Hashi, Tandoori Fairfax, TeaDM, The Auld Shebeen, The Wine House, Vivi Bubble Tea and Yanzi Noodle House.
Dinner options include traditional jambalaya with Cajun chicken, andouille sausage and rice at Commonwealth Brewing Co. Big Buns will serve regular and birria burgers, along with fried chicken sandwiches and fries.
Dolce Vita’s selections include spinach fettuccine, Italian winter pasta, baked cannelloni and chicken saltimbocca. The Wine House will offer dishes such as braised lamb shank, chicken Normandy, Faroe Island salmon, pork tenderloin, flat iron steak, and wild mushroom and butternut squash risotto.
Curry Mantra’s menu spans butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, chana masala, mixed vegetable korma, traditional curry, aloo matar, vindaloo, palak paneer, biryani, paneer makhani and paneer tikka masala, among other dishes.
Fairfax City Economic Development and the Central Fairfax Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring the event in partnership with the Old Town Fairfax Business Association.
