Voting is underway to choose the best golf course in Fairfax County, giving local players a chance to support their favorite place for everything from quick practice swings to a full 18-hole round.

The Readers’ Choice Awards poll features nominated courses from across the county, where stretches of green offer a contrast to the surrounding suburban development. Voters whose preferred course is not among the listed nominees can submit it as a write-in choice.

The golf course poll will remain open for two weeks. Ballots must be cast before 8:30 a.m. on Friday, July 3.

A separate vote for the best wedding venue in Fairfax County is also continuing. That poll closes at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, June 26.

Results from the earlier best mortgage lender poll have already been finalized. Prosperity Home Mortgage placed first, followed by Navy Federal Credit Union and Embrace Home Loans.
