Fairfax County cyclists have an opportunity to choose the area’s best bicycle shop in a Readers’ Choice poll highlighting local retailers and repair specialists.
The contest comes as the county’s network of bicycle paths and lanes continues to serve riders across the region. Major routes include the W&OD Trail in northern Fairfax and the Mount Vernon Trail farther south. Alongside that infrastructure, local bike shops provide bicycles, equipment and mechanical assistance to the cycling community.
Readers can vote for one of the nominated bicycle shops or submit a write-in choice if their preferred business does not appear among the selections. Voting is scheduled to remain open for two weeks and will close at 8:30 a.m. Friday, March 6.
A separate poll to select Fairfax County’s best barbershop is also underway. Ballots in that contest must be submitted before 8:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27.
Results from an earlier poll naming the best nail salon in Fairfax have also been finalized. Curve Nail Studio placed first, followed by Nail Ritual and Nail Evolution.
