Fairfax County’s comprehensive school boundary review is entering its final stages following the advisory committee’s last meeting on December 12 at the Gatehouse Administration Center.

During the meeting, members of the Superintendent’s Boundary Review Advisory Committee divided into working groups to review and discuss proposed changes developed after Scenario 4. Superintendent Michelle C. Reid will consider the committee’s feedback while preparing recommendations for the School Board.

Reid is scheduled to present her proposed boundary changes to the board on Thursday, January 8, 2026. A public hearing will follow on Saturday, January 10, with the board expected to vote on the recommendations Thursday, January 22.

Boundaries for the new high school in western Fairfax County will be decided separately by early June. Additional information about that process is expected in the coming months.
