Twelve area students will receive $1,000 each from Falls Church Arts to continue studying visual art in college.
The recipients of the organization’s 2026 Excellence in Art scholarships were selected from submissions across the region:

Falls Church Arts is a community-based nonprofit gallery and visual arts organization that has served the greater Falls Church and Washington metropolitan area for more than 23 years.
Annual member exhibition begins June 6
The organization will open the first installment of its annual All Member Show on June 6, presenting work from 72 artists whose last names begin with A through L.
A free public reception where visitors can meet the artists is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 6. The exhibition will continue through July 12.
The second installment, featuring artists with last names beginning with M through Z, will run from July 18 through Aug. 23.
The A–L exhibition brings together emerging and established artists from Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland. The work spans watercolor, oil, gouache, acrylic, pastel, pen and ink, pencil, photography, terracotta, mixed media, textiles and printmaking.
Visitors may vote through June 26 for the exhibition’s People’s Choice Award. The winner will be announced June 27.

The Falls Church Arts gallery is at 700-B West Broad St. in Falls Church. Admission is free. Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The artwork can also be viewed online, and every piece is available for purchase through the gallery or its website.
