Falls Church is heading into a packed stretch of local arts, music and sports, with a 67-artist exhibition opening, four socially focused concerts on the calendar and Virginia Dream FC celebrating another championship trifecta.
Falls Church Arts Show Opens July 12
Falls Church Arts will showcase work by 67 artists in the second half of its annual All-Member Show, running from July 12 through Aug. 10. This installment features members whose last names begin with M through Z.
A free meet-the-artists reception is scheduled for 7-9 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at the Falls Church Arts gallery, 700-B West Broad St.
The exhibition brings together emerging and established artists from Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland. Works span watercolor, oil, gouache, acrylic, pastel, pen and ink, pencil, photography, terracotta, textiles, printmaking and mixed media.
Visitors may vote for the exhibit’s People’s Choice Award through July 25. The winner will be announced July 26.
The gallery is open from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sundays. Admission is free, and exhibited works are available for purchase at the gallery and online.

Little City Concerts Reveals Season 3 Partners
Little City Concerts has announced four nonprofit partnerships for its 2025-2026 season, continuing its combination of classical music and social-justice programming.
All four events will take place in the modern sanctuary at The Falls Church Episcopal, which remains the concert series’ principal partner.
The season opens Sept. 20 with Nen Daiko and the Hamkae Center, an organization serving and organizing Asian Americans across Virginia through advocacy, community engagement and services such as healthcare referrals, naturalization assistance and small-business coaching.
Mary Voutsas and friends will perform Nov. 22 in partnership with SafeSpaceNoVA, which creates affirming and supportive environments for LGBTQ+ young people.
Bridge Voices will appear Feb. 21, 2026, alongside Homestretch. The organization helps families experiencing homelessness pursue self-sufficiency through transitional housing and support addressing the underlying causes of housing instability.
The April 18, 2026, finale will pair the 9th Street Quartet with Second Story, a Fairfax County organization assisting young people experiencing homelessness or other crises, as well as young mothers and their children.
Founder and Director Stephen Gorbos said season passes and tickets for the Sept. 20 opener are on sale. Buying all four concerts as a series carries a 20 percent discount and provides the organization with earlier, more predictable revenue.
Virginia Dream FC Claims Another Trifecta
Virginia Dream FC has captured three regular-season championships for the second consecutive year after beating District Elite FC 6-2 at Meridian High School’s “The Cloud” stadium on June 28.
The victory secured the National Premier Soccer League Mid-Atlantic Conference regular-season championship and a top seed in the NPSL playoffs.
It also completed a three-league sweep for the Falls Church semi-professional club. Virginia Dream finished as the UPSL DMV South A regular-season champion, the NPSL Mid-Atlantic regular-season champion and the SSL regular-season champion.
The team was scheduled to host Virginia Beach City at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, July 5, in its final NPSL regular-season match.
Virginia Dream founder and team captain Lucas Mendes has also continued his work blending soccer with fashion, art and music. After drawing attention for the club’s uniforms, Mendes has expanded into designs for women’s professional soccer kits and warmup suits.
