Falls Church marked 2025 with advances in governance, inclusivity, safety and sustainability, according to the city’s annual Year in Review released Dec. 19.
City Manager Wyatt Shields said the accomplishments reflected the city’s focus on smart growth and public service. The report, issued for the fourth consecutive year, includes statistics, photographs and highlights from the calendar year.
Organized around City Council priorities, the review showcases work in four areas: good governance, inclusivity, safety and sustainability.
The report’s cover features the new LOVE sculpture in Cherry Hill Park, designed by city staff and supported by community members and the Virginia Department of Tourism. Shields described the installation as a symbol of the connection residents and employees feel toward Falls Church.
Calling the report a “love letter” to the community, Shields thanked residents and city employees for their role in the year’s milestones and encouraged them to carry that momentum into the coming year.
