Seray has transformed a spot along Maple Avenue into an inviting destination for Lebanese cooking, pairing traditional recipes with a polished dining-room experience.

The restaurant at 160 Maple Ave. W is the work of husband-and-wife team Rabih and Nadia Abi-Aad. Rabih, a Lebanese chef who previously operated a restaurant in Arlington, draws on a long culinary background and generations of tradition. Together, the couple aims to share the flavors of Lebanon while treating diners with the warmth of family.

That personal approach extends into the dining room, where the owner frequently greets guests and checks on tables.

Seray’s menu centers on Lebanese classics presented with a modern touch. Mezze options include creamy hummus and bright tabbouleh, while heartier selections range from lamb chops and mixed grills to chicken tawook and kafta kebabs. Branzino adds a seafood option to a lineup built around fresh ingredients, aromatic seasoning and established recipes.

The restaurant’s high ceilings, elegant lighting and prominent bar create an upscale setting without losing the energy of a neighborhood gathering place. It can accommodate date nights, group meals, celebrations and business dinners, though the dining room can become lively on weekends.

A small outdoor seating area offers another option for lunch or dinner. Set slightly back from the road, the café space provides a quieter place to enjoy mezze and cocktails when the weather cooperates.

Seray serves lunch and dinner and offers a full bar with cocktails and wine. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free choices are available. The restaurant also provides catering, private-event accommodations and service for larger gatherings.
