Fairfax County Public Schools athletes delivered a standout 2025-26 winter season, with three teams and 33 individual entries winning Virginia High School League Class 6 championships. Three teams and 34 individual entries also finished as state runners-up.
Robinson Secondary School won the girls indoor track and field team championship, Langley High School claimed the boys swim and dive title, and Westfield High School captured the boys basketball crown.

State runners-up
Robinson Secondary School placed second as a team in gymnastics and girls swim and dive. Chantilly High School was the boys swim and dive team runner-up.

Oakton High School recorded the highest team score at the VHSL Girls Wrestling state championships, held at the Henrico Sports and Events Center.
Rifle competitors add regional honors
FCPS athletes also collected honors in rifle, which is not sanctioned by the VHSL. West Springfield High School won the Potomac High School Rifle League Regional Championship, the sport’s culminating competition, while Robinson Secondary School finished second.
West Springfield’s Avana Harford earned first place individually at the regional championship. Robinson’s Annika Cry was the individual runner-up.
