Fairfax County Public Schools athletes closed the fall 2025 season with five Virginia High School League Class 6 championships and five state runner-up finishes.
Four FCPS teams secured state titles. Langley High School won in field hockey, West Springfield High School prevailed in girls volleyball, and Lake Braddock Secondary School captured the boys cross-country championship. Robinson Secondary School successfully defended its girls cross-country title.
Oakton High School’s Caroline Sapperstein added an individual championship in girls cross-country.
Four other teams finished second in the state: Madison High School in field hockey, Robinson Secondary School in golf, West Potomac High School in boys cross-country, and West Springfield High School in girls cross-country.
Will Fadden of Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology earned an individual runner-up finish in boys cross-country.
The season also introduced girls flag football to FCPS. Oakton High School won the inaugural county championship, while Chantilly High School finished as the runner-up.
