Fairfax County Public Schools has received a Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting for its comprehensive annual financial report covering the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2025.
The Association of School Business Officials International presented the award to FCPS in recognition of the school division’s financial reporting and accountability. The certificate indicates that the annual report met or exceeded the program’s standards and recognizes FCPS’s commitment to financial transparency.
The award program evaluates the quality of financial reports produced by school systems and highlights divisions that demonstrate accountability in presenting their fiscal information.
The Association of School Business Officials International is a professional organization with 5,000 members. It provides programs and services intended to advance school business management practices, support professional growth, and encourage the effective use of education resources.
FCPS announced the recognition on April 27, 2026, nearly 10 months after the close of the fiscal year covered by the honored report.
