Northern Virginia’s weekend calendar is packed with festivals, food, music and family entertainment from Friday, May 15, through Sunday, May 17. Here are five events planned across McLean, Herndon, Tysons, Fairfax and Vienna.

McLean Day

McLean’s largest annual festival returns to Lewinsville Park, 1659 Chain Bridge Road, with carnival rides from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 15. The main festival runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 16.

The celebration features live music, food trucks, beer and wine, giveaways and more than 100 exhibitors. Games, balloon animals, a magician, costumed characters and a petting zoo are also planned. The event typically attracts more than 10,000 visitors.

Polar Heat on Lynn Street

Downtown Herndon will host a full day of entertainment, activities and community festivities from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 16.

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs and settle in along Lynn Street for the day.

Taste of Tysons Corner

Tysons Corner Center, at 1961 Chain Bridge Road, will showcase its food and beverage offerings Saturday, May 16. The listed hours are midnight to 3 p.m.

The event is set to include food samples, cooking demonstrations, chef appearances, live music and entertainment. Gift-card raffles and other giveaways are also scheduled.

Asian Festival on Main

Asian Festival on Main will bring a free outdoor celebration of Asian food, culture and community to Historic Old Town Fairfax City from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 17. The event is listed at Capital One Hall, 3999 University Drive.

More than 60 food vendors will serve Asian street food, while another 60-plus artisan and local vendors will offer crafts and other goods. The program also includes cultural performances, demonstrations and community activities.

Visitors can also expect free games, a Cosplay Runway, Otaku Garden, karaoke, a beer garden and a miniature-horse petting zoo.

Lucca, Simons & Halter In the Round

Singer-songwriters Tony Lucca, Keaton Simons and Ernie Halter will perform together at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 17, at Jammin Java, 227 Maple Avenue East in Vienna.

The longtime friends have shared stages since their early years performing in Los Angeles. Their in-the-round show will feature songs and stories from their careers, including “Death of Me,” “Currently” and “Whisper.”
