Northern Virginia’s Memorial Day weekend calendar is packed with live music, festivals, patriotic tributes and fireworks from May 22 through May 25. One planned concert has been canceled, but four other major events remain on the schedule.
Friday Night Live! — Canceled
The Friday Night Live! concert featuring Lost In Paris, originally scheduled for 6:30 to 10 p.m. Friday, May 22, at the Herndon Town Green, has been canceled.
The free outdoor concert series is held behind the Herndon Municipal Building at 777 Lynn St. and is produced by the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce with MainStreet Bank as its title sponsor.
Rock the Block
The Reflex will bring an ’80s-themed performance to Old Town Square, 10415 North Street in Fairfax, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, May 22.
The event will feature live music, food and a beer garden. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket.
ViVa! Vienna! Memorial Day Festival
Historic Church Street in Vienna will fill with amusement rides, food, crafts, vendors and entertainment during the ViVa! Vienna! festival.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24, before returning from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, May 25. A Memorial Day tribute is scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday.
Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Vienna, the festival raises money for charitable, educational and community organizations. Vendors will include artisans, retailers, professionals, political groups, candidates and nonprofit organizations.
Brewfest will offer drinks and food on Mill Street, with a view of performances on the Main Stage.
A Star-Spangled Salute 2025
The Reston Chorale and the Brass Band of Northern Virginia will perform a free patriotic concert from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, May 24, at the Reston Town Center Pavilion, 1818 Discovery Street.
The family-friendly program will recognize members of the U.S. Armed Forces and honor those who died while serving. Guests should bring lawn chairs.
The concert also marks the beginning of Operation Care Package, a collection drive for troops running from May 24 through June 10.
Blast Off! at Wolf Trap
“The President’s Own” United States Marine Band will launch Wolf Trap’s summer season Sunday, May 24, at 1511 Trap Road in Vienna. Gates open at 6:30 p.m.
The band, a professional musical organization with a history spanning more than 225 years, will perform selections from popular musicals and military marching standards. A fireworks display will close the evening.
