Five events across Tysons, Reston, Vienna and McLean will offer live theater, music, art, food and dog-friendly activities from Friday, April 24, through Sunday, April 26.

Reston Community Players will present “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” at the Leila Gordon Theatre, 2310 Colts Neck Road in Reston. Performances begin at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, followed by a 2 p.m. Sunday show. The production blends farce, Roman comedy and American vaudeville and features Stephen Sondheim’s first complete score for a Broadway musical.

Bark in Boro Park will return from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at 8350 Broad Street in Tysons. The spring event will feature activities, games, treats and crafts for dogs, their owners and families.

Reston Town Square Park will host an eARTh Day Celebration from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday at 1880 Explorer Street. The program includes Public Art Reston’s ChalkFest, face painting, a poetry contest and concerts by Project Locrea and the Juan Megna Group. Tephra ICA will offer special activities and exhibitions featuring Janet Loren Hill and Andrew Casto, along with Abdulrahman Naanseh’s “ترحال / Nomadism.”

Taste of Vienna will run from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday in the back parking lot of the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department, 400 Center Street South. Restaurants will sell samples from individual booths, while the free-admission festival will also offer a beer and wine tent, live music, children’s activities and the second annual Carnegie Diner OMG 24-layer cake-eating contest.

The weekend concludes with the Main Street Chamber Players at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Alden Theatre, 1234 Ingleside Avenue in McLean. The Fairfax County ensemble, whose members have more than 35 years of combined experience, performs standard chamber works alongside music by women, composers of color and living composers.
