Our Mom Eugenia has completed a major expansion at the Mosaic District, adding a private dining room and outdoor patio that nearly double the Greek restaurant’s original footprint.
The 1,500-square-foot addition opened on Valentine’s Day at 2985 District Avenue, Suite 185. It brings the restaurant’s total space to 3,370 square feet and adds capacity for 48 indoor diners and 36 outdoor guests.
The family-owned restaurant moved into a neighboring suite that The Italian Place vacated last year. Our Mom Eugenia first opened its Mosaic District location in August 2020.
Co-owner and executive chef Eugenia Hobson said the dedicated dining room was designed for intimate gatherings, milestone celebrations and corporate events. The space can also host bridal showers, baptism dinners and rehearsal dinners.
The expansion has attracted a steady stream of customers since opening. The restaurant said the new dining area fills daily and turns over multiple times on Fridays and Saturdays. Two private events have already been booked, one in March and another in June.
The accompanying patio is expected to be ready when warmer weather arrives in April, in time for Easter.
Our Mom Eugenia will continue serving its full menu of Greek specialties, including moussaka, grilled whole fish and house-made baklava.
The restaurant also operates its original location at 1025 Seneca Road, Suite H, in Great Falls and a third location at 4044 Campbell Avenue in Arlington.
The expansion comes amid several changes at the Mosaic District. HiFi Tex-Mex BBQ celebrated its grand opening March 1 in the former Red Apron space at 8298 Glass Alley. The Salty doughnut chain and Maman cafe are expected to arrive in the summer, while Hawkers Asian Street Food and furniture retailer Herman Miller are also planned for the neighborhood.
