Defense technology company GRVTY plans to invest $8 million in a new Tysons headquarters, expanding its Fairfax County presence and adding 200 jobs.

The company will build out more than 22,000 square feet of office space at 8270 Greensboro Drive. Founded in 2025, GRVTY already employs nearly 1,000 people and serves customers across the defense, intelligence and homeland security sectors.

The Tysons facility will become GRVTY’s center for operations, customer engagement and the development of technologies involving cyber, space and spectrum, CEO Katie Selbe said.

GRVTY expects to hire highly skilled engineers, technologists, scientists and corporate employees as part of the expansion.

Fairfax County and state economic-development officials worked together to secure the project. Gov. Abigail Spanberger approved an $800,000 Commonwealth’s Opportunity Fund grant to help Fairfax County support the headquarters. The Virginia Jobs Investment Program will also provide recruitment and workforce-training assistance.

Spanberger said the expansion reflects Virginia’s access to skilled workers, innovators, customers and government decision-makers. She added that the 200 planned jobs will bolster Northern Virginia’s position in national security and advanced technology.

Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chairman Jeffrey C. McKay said the county’s proximity to research institutions and decision-makers, its cleared workforce, and its digital and physical infrastructure have made it a strong location for national security technology companies.

Victor Hoskins, president and CEO of the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority, said GRVTY’s arrival will strengthen Northern Virginia’s technology ecosystem, support high-value employment and encourage collaboration among businesses, government agencies and research institutions.
