Enda Browne, 43, of Herndon, was taken into custody at Dulles International Airport on June 26, 2026, more than a decade after a hit-and-run collision in Reston. Fairfax County police announced the arrest on July 6, saying Browne is charged with felony hit-and-run in connection with the November 2014 incident.
According to police, a woman was struck at about 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 16, 2014, near Reston Parkway and Spectrum Center Drive while crossing the street. She suffered life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized, though her condition later improved. Fairfax County police’s Crash Reconstruction Unit determined that Browne was driving southbound on Reston Parkway when he allegedly struck the woman and fled the scene.
Browne was initially arrested on the same felony hit-and-run charge but failed to appear for a court date scheduled for June 8, 2015. Police said they later learned that Browne had left the country.
The U.S. Marshals Service notified Fairfax County detectives after Browne was taken into custody at Dulles. He was transferred to a detention center and was being held without bond when police announced the arrest.
Police continued to seek information about the collision. Residents can contact the Crash Reconstruction Unit at 703-280-0543, submit an anonymous tip or use an online tip form.
