High Octane Ball Raises $10,000 With Show-Stopping Car Art

Alexandria’s High Octane Ball launched the Festival of Speed and Style weekend May 17 with a black-tie fundraiser at Land Rover Alexandria.

Alexandria’s High Octane Ball launched the Festival of Speed and Style weekend May 17 with a black-tie fundraiser at Land Rover Alexandria.

Held inside the presenting sponsor’s showroom, the event supported local nonprofits including ALIVE!, Community Lodgings and the National Breast Center Foundation.

Old Town resident Darica Fenner attended with friends and praised the gathering as an opportunity to give back to the community while enjoying the weekend’s car show.

A Joan Rivers impersonator emceed the festivities and narrated guests’ red-carpet arrivals.

The night’s centerpiece was a live auction featuring a painting by performance artist David Garibaldi. Created especially for the event, the artwork depicted a car and sold for $10,000 to the Yates family: Jason, Loren and Jason Jr.
