Boss Design Center has grown from a neighborhood contractor into a full-service design-build company specializing in luxury renovations across Northern Virginia and the Washington area.
Based at 1389 Chain Bridge Road in McLean, the company has served local homeowners for more than a decade and operates a second location in Bethesda. It holds a Virginia Class A contractor license, additional licenses in Maryland and Washington, D.C., and carries bonding and insurance.
The firm received Best of Houzz awards annually from 2016 through 2025 and has an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. Its projects have also appeared in Home & Design magazine.
Boss Design Center focuses on substantial, high-end renovations. Kitchen projects generally cost between $80,000 and $250,000, while basement finishing typically runs about $150,000. Services include whole-house renovations, custom kitchens, primary bathrooms, finished basements and aging-in-place improvements.
Among its specialties is a German kitchen collection featuring European-engineered cabinets, precision hardware, integrated appliances and configurations not commonly available from American suppliers. Previous projects include a McLean whole-house renovation with custom millwork, designer tile and a new open layout, as well as a Potomac kitchen featuring natural-stone counters and walnut cabinetry.
The company uses an integrated project model in which designers remain involved from initial planning through completion. Its staff includes designers, project managers and tradespeople working across carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems and tile installation.
Before construction starts, clients receive photorealistic 3D renderings and select project materials at the showroom. The process is intended to establish the design and costs before work begins. Boss Design Center says it offers fixed pricing without allowances, reducing the likelihood of unexpected material expenses.
Client reviews frequently mention lead designer Talha and project manager Carlos. Homeowners have praised the team’s communication, accurate renderings and ability to keep projects on schedule. Other reviews describe improved kitchen layouts, skilled construction crews and projects completed on time and within the agreed budget.
The company provides a five-year warranty for structural work and a one-year warranty for other renovation components. Some installed products include longer warranties from their manufacturers.
