Assistant City Attorney Karen Snow was honored Jan. 29 at a retirement reception at Jula’s in Canal Center Plaza, marking the end of her 33-year career with the City Attorney’s Office.
Deputy City Attorney Jill Schaub described Snow as “sharp, fearless and fiercely intelligent,” as well as the heart of the office.
“No one is more thoughtful, caring or generous than Karen,” Schaub said.
Snow graduated from Hamilton College in 1978 and received her law degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1982. She joined the City Attorney’s Office in 1991.
Schaub said she and Snow worked under five city attorneys and at least five city managers during their years together.
“She has been the soul of this office, and her absence will be deeply felt by the city and all of us in the CAO,” Schaub said.
