Maggiano’s Little Italy will return to Tysons on Monday, June 15, opening a 17,000-square-foot restaurant at Tysons Corner Center after a months-long relocation.
The Italian chain closed its longtime Tysons Galleria restaurant across Route 123 in September. Its new location, occupying the former Brio space, can accommodate about 700 guests across two main dining rooms, a full-service bar and an indoor patio facing the mall.
Three private event rooms will each have seating for approximately 56 guests. The restaurant’s decor includes wine displays, portraits of Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe, and black-and-white Washington, D.C., photography.
Maggiano’s has operated in Tysons since opening its original two-level Galleria restaurant in the mid-1990s. The Dallas-based chain also has regional locations in Friendship Heights and at Springfield Town Center.
Mike Wesley, the company’s vice president of marketing, said Tysons and Northern Virginia have long been important to Maggiano’s and that the larger restaurant represents a significant return to the area.
The menu covers lunch, dinner, cocktails and desserts, along with the chain’s prix fixe “family style experience.” That option provides shareable salads, appetizers, entrees and desserts for $50 per person and $15 for children ages 5 through 12.
Pasta selections include baked ziti, fettuccine Alfredo and rigatoni alla vodka. The signature Rigatoni D combines roasted mushrooms and caramelized onions with Marsala cream sauce.
Other shareable dishes include meatballs, crab cakes, chicken Parmesan, beef tenderloin medallions and blackened salmon served with crispy Calabrian shrimp. Desserts include butter cake and cheesecake.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Tysons Regional Chamber of Commerce is scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday. Coffee, pastries and an exclusive tour of the restaurant will be offered during the event.
The restaurant will operate from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Reservations are available through OpenTable, and e-club members who reserve a table at the Tysons location by July 14 can receive a free dessert.
