Northern Virginia health officials are warning residents about another potential measles exposure, this time involving an infected Maryland resident who traveled through Reagan National Airport and rode Metro’s Yellow and Silver lines. The alert follows a confirmed case involving a passenger at Dulles International Airport.

Youngkin backs federal education overhaul
President Donald Trump signed an executive order Thursday directing Education Secretary Linda McMahon to dismantle the U.S. Department of Education.
Gov. Glenn Youngkin welcomed the action, saying Virginia is prepared to assume full responsibility for K-12 education.
Fairfax County seeks input on 911 services
Fairfax County’s Department of Public Safety Communications is working with George Mason University on a study aimed at improving emergency services.
The research includes exploring how automated technology could be integrated into the county’s 911 system. GMU will begin hosting community focus groups Saturday at Culmore Library.
Arrest follows Bailey’s Crossroads peeping reports
Fairfax County police detectives arrested a 44-year-old Falls Church man in connection with two peeping cases in Bailey’s Crossroads.
Police said the man was caught looking through an apartment window on March 17. Investigators also linked him to earlier incidents in the 6000 block of Bellview Drive.
Music-based treatment center planned
Recovery Unplugged, an addiction recovery and behavioral health provider that incorporates music into therapy, plans to open a facility in Seven Corners.
Executive Director David Engwall hopes the center will begin operating in mid-summer. It is expected to occupy the entire building at 6299 Leesburg Pike.
Beacon Roofing accepts $11 billion deal
Herndon-based Beacon Roofing Supply has agreed to be acquired by Greenwich, Connecticut-based QXO Inc. in an all-cash transaction valuing the building materials company at $11 billion.
The agreement reverses Beacon Roofing’s earlier rejection of a similar offer disclosed in January. The company had said that proposal undervalued its business.
McLean park celebration scheduled
The Fairfax County Park Authority will celebrate completed improvements at McLean Central Park with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 29.
The upgrades resulted from a community collaboration intended to make the park more vibrant and accessible.

Friday is expected to be sunny and breezy, with a high near 57 degrees. Northwest winds of 17 to 21 mph could gust as high as 36 mph.
Clouds will increase Friday night as temperatures fall to about 37 degrees. West winds will ease to 5 to 7 mph before becoming light and variable.
