The Boro will mark Mother’s Day weekend with a free community celebration featuring flowers, crafts, live entertainment, giveaways and activities for families.
Mom’s Day Out is scheduled for Saturday, May 9, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Boro Tysons, 8350 Broad Street. If rain forces a postponement, the event will take place Sunday, May 10, during the same hours.
The first 100 attendees will receive complimentary mini bouquets. Guests can also create custom bouquets, Mother’s Day cards and decorated picture frames at DIY craft stations.
A Mommy & Me digital photo booth will offer family snapshots, while The Boro’s floral installation—available throughout May—will provide another backdrop for pictures.
Entertainment will include a live musician, a bubble artist, glitter tattoos and other activities for all ages. Attendees can enter raffles for curated Mother’s Day gift baskets containing merchandise and gift cards from Boro retailers, with bonus entries available for same-day purchases.
California Closets will provide special treats, and Fava Pot will offer complimentary bites while supplies last. Guests can also find giveaways and meet beauty and wellness experts from NOVA Plastic Surgery & Dermatology.
Food and drink options will extend across the neighborhood. Small bites from Santouka Ramen will be available for purchase, the new Boro Biergarten will serve drinks, and Maman will showcase a spring and summer menu featuring salads, bowls and sweet brunch selections. Other businesses will offer seasonal dishes, brunches and Mother’s Day specials.
The event is open to the public at no charge, though advance registration is encouraged.
