Nationals Park traded baseball for holiday lights during Winter Wonderfest, filling the quiet offseason stadium with rides, games and glowing displays through Dec. 30, 2025.
Visitors entered through a lighted tunnel that opened onto the transformed field. The festival featured 12 main attractions inspired by the 12 Days of Christmas, including illuminated art installations and amusement park-style rides.
Sports-themed activities remained part of the experience. At Snowball Showdown, competitors tested the speed and accuracy of their throws. The stadium’s baselines became a nine-hole miniature golf course featuring Washington Nationals references, signed helmets and bats.
A giant seesaw lifted riders as high as 10 feet, offering elevated views of the festival. The largest attraction was Blizzard Run, a 40-foot-tall and 100-foot-long racing slide in center field. Guests climbed to the top before racing down toward field level, with views across the stadium and holiday displays.
With Winter Wonderfest over, Nationals Park will remain without baseball until April 3, 2026, when the Nationals host the Los Angeles Dodgers for their home opener.
