Outdoor movie season is returning to Northern Virginia with family-friendly screenings planned in Vienna, Fairfax, Reston and Ashburn throughout summer 2026. Families can bring blankets or folding chairs and settle in for films under the stars.
Big Screen on the Green
Vienna’s series begins at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 15, with How to Train Your Dragon at the Vienna Town Green. Another screening is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 11, with the movie still to be announced.
Movies in the Park
Movies will be shown at 7 p.m. Thursdays from June 18 through Aug. 20 at Strawberry Park in Mosaic, 2910 District Ave. in Fairfax. The film schedule has not yet been announced.
Movies Under the Moon
Fairfax will host screenings at 8 p.m. on the second Friday of each month:
- June 12: Zootopia at Pat Rodio Park, 3800 Keith Ave.
- July 10: The Lego Movie at Providence Park, 10715 West Drive.
- Aug. 14: Honey, I Shrunk the Kids at Ratcliffe Park, 10300 Sager Ave.
- Sept. 11: The Secret Life of Pets at Kutner Park, 3901 Jermantown Road.
Summerbration at Reston Station
Saturday movie events will run from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on the Green at 1800 Reston Row Plaza in Reston.

Summerbration at Loudoun Station
Loudoun Station will present the same lineup on Sundays from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Loudoun Station District Park, 43805 Central Station Drive in Ashburn.
