Fairfax County police are searching for a man believed to have entered or attempted to enter at least four Centreville homes while naked, including two incidents in which residents found him inside.

The latest break-in happened Saturday around 4:30 a.m. in the 14700 block of Ealing Court. A barking dog awakened a resident, who then saw a fully nude man inside her home.

The intruder fled before officers arrived, and a search of the area did not locate him.

Police believe the same man was involved in a series of incidents beginning early March 5. That morning, he allegedly entered a bedroom in the 14800 block of Bodley Square while a resident was preparing for work. He ran away after being confronted.

At about 5:30 a.m. the next day, a resident in the 14800 block of Leicester Court found a footprint on a trash can that had been moved against a fence. Investigators believe the trash can was used to climb into the backyard and said evidence indicated an attempted burglary.

Another encounter was reported at 3:30 a.m. March 8 in the 6300 block of Paddington Lane. A resident heard footsteps in the hallway and saw a nude person standing in a doorway before the intruder fled.

Investigators said the suspect appears to have entered through an unsecured door in each case.

Police described the man as Black with a light or medium complexion, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and of average build.

Detectives and patrol officers are working to identify him. Police asked residents to examine home and vehicle surveillance recordings for suspicious activity during the early-morning hours from March 5 through March 8.
