The Northern Virginia Swimming League will begin shaping its 2025 summer season March 2, when representatives from all 102 teams gather for a seeding meeting at Key Middle School in Springfield.
The meeting will determine the makeup of the league’s 17 divisions, each consisting of six teams. Division lineups are expected to be announced in the following weeks.
The five-week regular season opens at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 14. Dual meets will continue at the same time on each of the next four Saturdays.
Divisional relay carnivals are scheduled for Wednesday, July 2, followed by the league-wide all-star relay carnival Wednesday, July 9. The 17 divisional meets will take place the morning of Saturday, July 19, and the individual all-star meet will close the swimming schedule Saturday, July 26.
The NVSL’s diving league includes 48 teams across eight divisions, which have already been set for the season. Each team will compete in five Tuesday evening dual meets, beginning June 15. The diving season concludes with an all-star meet Sunday, July 27, at Hunt Valley pool in Springfield.
