Old Town Run Club Fundraiser to Honor 9/11 Heroes

The Old Town Run Club will bring runners and local supporters together for a charity meet-and-greet benefiting the Tunnel to Towers Foundation and the club’s annual 9/11 commemorative run.

The Old Town Run Club will bring runners and local supporters together for a charity meet-and-greet benefiting the Tunnel to Towers Foundation and the club’s annual 9/11 commemorative run.

The fundraiser is scheduled for 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Union Street Public House, 121 S. Union St. in Alexandria. Activities will take place in the Whiskey Bar and Regatta Room, with food and drinks included in admission.

The club’s commemorative run connects the three major sites associated with the Sept. 11 attacks through a community athletic event focused on remembrance. Attendees can learn more about the run, meet other participants and find ways to get involved.

Organizers said all proceeds will support the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which assists first responders, veterans and Gold Star families. Founded in memory of firefighter Stephen Siller, the organization provides mortgage-free homes to Gold Star families and specially designed smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans.
