Paragon Theaters has finalized its long-awaited opening schedule at Founders Row in Falls Church, with discounted sneak-preview screenings beginning Friday, June 13, and a full public launch set for Tuesday, July 1.
The dates replace previously announced openings in May. Jared Comess, the company’s vice president for marketing and public relations, said the earlier plan had to be postponed but the new schedule is now locked in.
The two-story theater at 112 Founders Ave. will become the City of Falls Church’s first movie theater complex. It will have seven screens and more than 600 seats, including an Axis15 Extreme auditorium with a 65-foot tilted screen, 4K laser projection and Dolby Atmos immersive sound.
Every auditorium will offer Lux Box dine-in seating, allowing customers to order food and cocktails by scanning a QR code and have their purchases delivered to their seats. The complex will also include a full-service bar and kitchen, concessions and complimentary validated parking.
Discounted previews begin June 13
The theater will open to the public for “Sneak Preview Days” from Friday, June 13, through Monday, June 30.
Tickets during that period will cost $8 for all screenings and formats, with no additional charges for premium theaters or seats. The initial first-run lineup includes “Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning,” “Lilo & Stitch,” “Ballerina” and “How to Train Your Dragon.”
The full kitchen and bar menu will also be available.
Two recurring discount programs will begin Tuesday, June 17. The theater’s $5 Ticket Tuesdays will offer $5 admission throughout the day, subject to restrictions. Premium-seat surcharges will begin applying to those tickets after July 1.
Kids’ $2 Summer Movies will also start June 17, with a different children’s film shown at 10 a.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Regular operations start July 1
Regular ticket prices will take effect when the theater officially launches Tuesday, July 1. Additional charges will then apply for Lux Box dine-in seats and the Axis15 Extreme auditorium.
Paragon also plans a “Jurassic World Rebirth” event outside the theater on Friday, July 4, and Saturday, July 5. The children’s activities are tentatively scheduled from 1 to 4 p.m. each day, with further details still to come.
The theater plans to offer sensory-friendly screenings as part of its regular programming.
